Bruno Announces Optional Power Folding Rail
On Its Top-of-the-Line Electra-Ride Elite
OCONOMOWOC, WI (February 15, 2010) – Bruno Independent Living Aids, North America’s
leading manufacturer of stairlifts for home accessibility, announced today that it will
offer an optional power folding rail on its Electra-Ride Elite stairlift. The Elite (Model SRE-
2010) is the most beautiful and feature-rich stairlift in Bruno’s selection.
When a staircase has a narrow hallway or doorway at the bottom, the end of a stairlift’s rail
could produce a partial barrier. The optional power folding rail is a 20 in. (508 mm) section
of rail at the bottom landing which folds up and out of the way with the touch of a button.
This simple and effortless retraction can be done by a rider, using the rocker switch on the
end of the right armrest, or from a wireless call/send control.
Safety is always of paramount importance with every Bruno product. The power folding rail
on the Electra-Ride Elite is equipped with obstruction sensors in both directions. If the folding
rail encounters an obstruction under the rail, it will stop its lowering movement and rise
slightly. An obstruction above the folding rail will also cause the rail to stop, so the obstruction
can be removed.
