Can you install a stair lift by yourself?
The AEMA (Accessibility Equipment Manufacturer’s Association) strongly recommends that stair lifts, chair lifts, and platform lifts be installed by “an experienced technician” and “does not support the concept of self-installation”. We follow the guidelines set forth in the AEMA position paper.

I have stairs that go up 3 steps then there is a landing and then go up 8 steps. Can Gamburd install a stairlift in this application?
Absolutely. There are a couple of different stair lifts available to you. Depending on your configuration we can easily get you from one floor to the other either by a curved track stairlift like the Bruno Electra Ride III Model or with two chair lift units.

Are stairlifts safe?
Yes, Stairlifts have been around for a long time and have proven to be safe when installed by qualified and trained personnel.

I have stairs outside my home. Is there a stairlift for this application?
Yes, there is. Depending on your access way we can install a stairlift rated for the outdoor elements like the Bruno Outdoor Elite Stair Lift.

Are stairlifts expensive?
We have units starting around $3300.00 for standard straight runs. Of course your stairway may be different so please call us for a free stair lift assessment for your home.

Are there tax advantages to buying a stairlifts?
You need to consult with your accountant on how the tax advantage may effect you.

Can I rent my stairlift?
Certainly. We offer several rental programs with our Rent to Purchase Plan being the most popular. This plan allows you to rent a stairlift for up to 3 months and receive a credit for the three months rental toward your purchase.
You may also rent our stairlift on a month to month basis with no long term contract, just a 3 month minimum.

Do you have a stairlift model to fit my staircase which has a turn, spiral, or bend in it?
Yes, we can provide a stairlift that has been manufactured to fit nearly all types of staircases, traveling on the inside or outside of the staircase.  See some of our pictures.

Will my stairlift block our staircase?
All of our stairlifts fold when not being used allowing comfortable room to walk on your staircase.

How soon may I expect installation of my stairlift?
Our facility houses one of the largest inventories of stairlifts in LA county. We will install at your convenience, typically within 1 to 2 business days. However, in an emergency we can schedule your installation on the same day.

Will the installation damage my walls?
Absolutely not. The rail is attached to the staircase only. Nothing is attached to your wall.
