What is the difference in stairlift tracks?

Very often a customers will say, “I can buy a stairlift online for half the price you are quoting me”.  I have seen stairlifts that look like refrigerators and where the track takes up over 12″ away from your walking space.  My favorite stairlift is the Electra Ride Elite, the elite is has one of the highest weight capacity in the industry and the track is only 2″ wide.
